Moving Day is here....

Wow, the last few weeks flew by and here we are, its moving day!   We thought we were done packing but we still had a lot of stuff lying around. The movers came and the kids were in the way, so decided to leave the kids with a friend. They packed up the kitchen and loaded our stuff in 4 hours. Professionals are really good at what they do. Next move I am hiring movers from start to finish! =)

After the movers emptied our house, we had to many errands to run.  We left the kids again with another friend. Came back from our errands picked up the kids to get ready to on a movie playdate with their much older friends to go see Spy Kids 4. (surprised sky kids made is past 1) and apparently since my kids needed MORE sugar in thier diet they went to eat ice cream. All of our good friends came over while we cleaning up the house to say good bye.  Everyone helped out a bit here and there...clearing out the laundry room, taking my cleaning supplies, sweeping the garage, vacuuming, and getting rid of our "trash"! Thank you everyone for helping out that night.  Oh and we had to pack up the car to go to Chi-town! 

You think that was the end of our day...WRONG! Still had to pick up the kids from their friend's house say a few more good byes and go to a dinner party 3 hours late. =S

This was the craziest day of all.  We were so tired and exhausted from the whole 2 months! Having  your stuff on a truck and in suitcases was a good feeling. Some weight was lifted. We really are moving to California.

Party Hard

We had farewell dinners, khatam at the masjid, iftaar dinners, chaand raat, and then Eid...I almost forgot the Sehris at IHOP(We did ALOT in the last 10 days of Ramadan!) and we packed up in between all the socializing and ibadaat. How, I dont know!?!?

Eid was a blast.  Kids were overwhelmed with presents and we were having fun with friends. It was a remarkable Eid. Great last Eid...South Bend, Indiana! We will miss you all very very much.

Back to reality.....The movers are coming tomorrow!!! OMG we aren't done packing! =S

The Car Left....

Today the car was loaded and headed west. It is now sinking in that we are leaving =(. The kids were excited to see the flat bed tow truck come and take the car away.

The car was bought in Maryland and resided in Indiana and now will be housed in California! Talk about cross country!  See you in 10 to 14 days on the west coast!

Secret Businesses??!?!

Try to cram in all the play dates that we can before we head out.  Umair's friends were worried about who will take over the businesses!! Go figure! I don't know what business my 7 year old is in but it was funny to hear thats what Evan was concerned about..."if umair moves who will run the businesses!" Evan and Jackson, Umair is going to miss you guys alot.  Do keep in touch =)

De-enrolled

Today I went to my son's elementary school and de-enrolled him for the 2nd grade here. The principal was sad to hear my son was leaving but happy about where we are headed! And OF course my son had to add how he is moving close to LEGOLAND!
we are going to miss all the great friends we made at NP! =/

Limited...

So I am trying not to buy groceries, no need to add more stuff to my existing stuff! So we did breakfast for dinner today. Not bad the kids ate french toast and eggs really well. =)
