Old Town San Diego

Today we went exploring! I think it was an excuse for Majid to drive the new car! hahaha! Finally we have settled in enough to go site seeing. First place we chose was Old Town San Diego. Old Town was orginally a Mexican town and it is actually the birthplace of California.(that's what the brochure says! =))

It was interesting and the kids were intrigued by people walking around in OLDEN TIME clothes and seeing OLDEN TIME buildings! Alot of restaurants and shopping.

The best part of the entire day was....we sat down to see some folk dancing that the locals used to do back in the day and Majid and I had enough and wanted to leave but Haseeb said he was not done watching. So we sat back down and waited for Haseeb to be done. Once the dance was over and Haseeb said he was ready to go he goes out in the open lawn and start imitating the dance! I think we have a dancer on our hands, where he gets it from is beyond me! Majid and I both have left feet! =)

We put Haseeb to work as well. First we gave him a map and told him to tell us where to go! =) We were going right that was left and left when it was right! hahaha.

Here is Haseeb writing a telegraph deep in his thoughts....
"hmm, who should i write to?"

For all the people that love HOT SAUCE, there was a store there that had like hundreds of bottles of different kinds of hot sauces...

The most outrageous product in this store was this....
What in the world is this???

In Old Town they replicated the buildings, businesses, schools, and churches as they were in the 1800s. There was a school there and in window they had this paper displayed. They were super cruel back in the day and apparently Majid went to school in the 1800s bc he explains to Umair that he went through the same thing......
Punishments
